The Greater Houston Builders Association honored the best in the business at the annual Houston’s Best PRISM Awards on Oct. 1.

Among the winners was J. Patrick Homes, a builder known for their work in seven master-planned communities in the Houston area. The builder took home the prize for Volume Builder of the Year, in addition to a number of other awards for their $1.3 million model home in Sienna. The company also won an award for best website.

Another big winner at the event was Newark Homes, which earned nine trophies. Four of these were awarded for excellence in design and décor, but the builder also took home awards for print ad of the year and direct mail piece of the year. Newark Homes is currently planning to begin sales on their 12th Houston-area community this fall.

Grand Central Park also garnered several awards at the event, most notably for master-planned community amenity center of the year. The judges praised the 7,600-square-foot Lake House in the Conroe community, which includes a fitness center, pool, coffee bar, event space, dog park, playground and two-tiered patio overlooking the lake. The builder also took home awards for event of the year and marketing campaign of the year.
