Grand Central Park model homes are impressive, but the wet room in the primary suite of our new model home is simply stunning. Typically found in custom homes or luxury hotels, a wet room is an enclosed bathtub and shower all-in-one — no need to worry if your bubbles overflow to the floor! Ours is exceptionally beautiful with Calacatta Umber tile — a 1X4 herringbone finish for the wet room floor and a 12×24 polished rectangle for the walls. The wet room is complemented by dark wood-stained cabinets and quartz countertops at the primary bath vanity area.
But that’s not all that will impress. This new model home puts a priority on outdoor living — something that aligns perfectly with the natural landscape of Grand Central Park. We’ve extended the back-covered patio an additional 14×15 feet and added an outdoor kitchen and fireplace. A beautiful pathway leads to a fire bowl with a seating area. Up above is a balcony off the game room that overlooks the backyard. A set of 14-foot sliding glass doors open to the family room, a gracious open-concept space with 19-foot ceilings, stacked windows, and an optional electric fireplace with a stone surround that soars to the ceiling.
And just as the party can flow easily from the outdoors to inside, so can guests mingle between the kitchen, family room, and dining area. White Oak wood flooring ties the space together and is complemented by the two-tone dark wood-stained and painted white cabinets in the kitchen. And while we’re talking about the kitchen, it’s worth pointing out its enhanced functionality with such special features as a built-in spice rack to the left of the cooktop, drawers for pots and pans, a trash can pull-out drawer, and utensil drawers. The home chef will appreciate the Café™ 36-inch cooktop, pot filler, and double ovens.
Upstairs in the model, you’ll find four of the six bedrooms offered in the Auburn II design, 3.5 baths, and an upgraded media room that opens to the game room with a half wall framed by the same stone used on the fireplace surround.
