J. Patrick Homes is celebrating 35 years this year during which we’ve helped thousands of happy homeowners. We’re taking a moment to speak with some of our buyers to see why J. Patrick Homes is the builder for them.
Charles and Rasheeda Goodwin are happy J. Patrick homeowners — again. The pair bought a home in ARTAVIA four years ago after a recent move from Atlanta and were very pleased with the J. Patrick design they found. But after their youngest joined the Air Force, they decided to downsize. They started house-hunting with two very specific must-haves — a large yard and a single-story home. Seeing primarily two-story J. Patrick designs, they opted for another builder.
It didn’t take long for them to realize their mistake.
“I would ask for a change and be told no,” Rasheeda said. “With every denial, I just kept saying, ‘J. Patrick would never…’”
They chose not to continue with their first builder after another home — one by J. Patrick Homes — caught their eye.
“We had watched this beautiful home being built but thought the entire time it was under contract,” Rasheeda said. “We found out it was still available and that it was a J. Patrick home, which was a total win for us even though it’s a two-story home.”
Unlike their first J. Patrick home which was at the drywall stage when the Goodwins signed a contract for it, this home was finished. It didn’t stop Rasheeda for asking for some changes.
“And you know what? I wasn’t told no.”
The home buying process went exactly like last time, the Goodwins said, which was wonderful.
“J. Patrick Homes has customer service down pat,” Rasheeda said. “Nothing changed this time. That matters and will keep you coming back. They’re my people.”
The Goodwins got their large yard and have big plans for it.
“A pool, waterfalls — a whole adult mood,” Rasheeda said.
And as much as she loves their place, Rasheeda won’t commit to it being their forever home.
“If J. Patrick comes up with something else amazing, I might just say to Charles we’re going to do it all over again.”
