J. Patrick Homes has sold thousands of homes during its 30+ history. We’re taking a moment to speak with J. Patrick buyers to see why J. Patrick Homes is the builder for them.
Larry Cohen and girlfriend Aja Kazarian left behind New York to what seemed like a brand new world in 2019 after Larry’s job in the oil and gas industry transferred the couple to Houston.
With a relocation package that included an apartment for three months in downtown Houston, the couple took that time to look for a home to buy — their first. On the list of must-haves was a rotunda entry with a spiral staircase. When they walked into J. Patrick Homes’ Eagle design in Jordan Ranch, they knew they had found their new home.
“We were blown away,” Aja said. “We just knew this was it. The home had a beautiful entry and a big backyard — just what we wanted.”
Closing in less than four weeks, the pair moved into their new home in October 2019. And there have been no regrets.
“Even though this was a spec home, we didn’t need to make almost any changes,” Aja said. “Everything seems so upgraded and J. Patrick’s attention to detail really made a difference.”
They said they couldn’t fault the builder’s customer service, either — when they needed help installing a faucet, their J. Patrick builder (who lives nearby) came over to lend a hand.
Aja was so impressed, in fact, she decided to pursue a career in real estate and began working at the J. Patrick Homes model in late December.
“I’m a host right now, but want to work my way into sales,” she said. “It’s easy for me to talk about the J. Patrick Homes quality.”
Larry and Aja say they love their Jordan Ranch community just as much as their J. Patrick home.
“Everyone here is so friendly — our next door neighbors are our best friends,” Aja said. “We’ve been on three vacations with them. Plus, there are a lot of people from New York here.
“I told Larry that if we ever sell our home, we want to build back in Jordan Ranch.”
Larry is also impressed with how friendly people are. “The J. Patrick Homes staff has been nothing but pleasant,” he said. “Really, everyone here is very friendly. When they say ‘community,’ you really get that here. Our J. Patrick home and Jordan Ranch — it’s a win-win.”
