With much of their family now living in Richmond, Saher and Rizwan Bawany decided they wanted to make the move to the area, as well.
Now they hope their family never relocates — Saher says she loves her new J. Patrick home so much that she’s never leaving.
Knowing J. Patrick Homes’ reputation, the couple acted quickly when they found an under-construction home in Aliana that suited their needs. Having missed the pre-construction phase of homebuilding when decisions are made on flooring, paint, hardware, exterior and all of the options that come with building a home, Saher says she was very pleased to be able to make changes.
“They were very accommodating,” she said. “Some of the changes included adding an outdoor kitchen, increasing the insulation in the garage and switching to a rainfall showerhead. This being a spec home with all the selections made, I was surprised that they would let me go in and make changes.”
Having just moved in after their September 30th closing, Saher is already very pleased with their new home — especially with all of the storage and space.
“This is larger than our last home; the kids are growing up and need more space,” she said. “Now they have their own space upstairs with a game room and media room. In our last home, I had to use the media room as a home office during the pandemic. Now, I’m working from home permanently and have a dedicated office, so the kids get their media room back.
“I also like all of the storage,” Saher said. “There is a large pantry, the closets are well-sized and every space is utilized. The windows are large, as well. I love the big picture window in my office.”
Visiting on the weekends to check the home’s progress during construction, Saher said her J. Patrick Construction Manager was very helpful when she contacted him with questions. In fact, everyone she worked with at J. Patrick Homes was professional and responsive. “From the Sales Professional to the Construction Manager to the preferred lender, each person exceeded my expectations,” Saher said. ”Everyone was very accommodating. I would never go back to another builder. This is my dream home, my forever home.”
